The Agricultural Manager Solfrut, Alejandro Salas, participated in an international technical symposium on rootstocks in apples held in Brazil, instance bringing together key actors in the fruit sector in Latin america.
The activity was organized by technical institutions and brazilian academic, and watched two days of field visits and a day of technical talks, focused on the analysis of the productive performance of different rootstocks under conditions of intensive management and various driving systems.
In the field, the attendees toured commercial orchards to assess key aspects such as force, production efficiency, fruit quality and adaptation to different conditions of soil and climate. The technical exhibits were in charge of international experts from south Africa, the united States and Europe, particularly Spain and Italy, who shared their progress and experiences in the development of new alternatives to the cultivation of the apple tree.
On behalf of Copefrut, also participated Eduardo Holzapfel, Deputy director of Strategic Projects, who presented the experience and vision technical-commercial company in the productive development of the crop, highlighting the strategic approach that the company has driven innovation and efficiency.
The event featured the participation of producers and representatives of Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico and Chile, among them Agrizano and Solfrut, establishing itself as a space of exchange and technical strengthening of links in the fruit industry regional.
The presence of Alejandro Salas in this instance reaffirms the commitment of Solfrut with updating, the incorporation of technical knowledge and the search for solutions that will strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the farm business.
