Five years after the start of the pandemic that transformed our society, Solfrut want to remember their commitment and solidarity during the year 2020, when he joined the project "Food Boxes", an initiative promoted by the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC). This campaign sought to raise funds to meet the various needs of the health crisis, by allocating a percentage to the power and the rest to areas such as health care and advocacy to social vulnerability.
As part of this major national initiative, the project "Provided by Chile" functioned as a platform for businesses and entrepreneurs could contribute to a common goal: to gather resources that would help those who needed it. In total, millions of boxes of food were distributed throughout Chile, and Solfrut provided with financial resources and direct distribution in areas more difficult to access, such as Longavi, Llollinco and Cuñao, in the Maule region.
These boxes contained basic food and quality, aimed to support the power of families in situations of vulnerability, those who were faced with the greatest difficulty the economic and social impact of the pandemic. In addition, the distribution included other areas of social priority, reflecting a comprehensive work to mitigate the consequences of the emergency.
For Solfrut, beyond the physical delivery, this experience represents a precious memory that strengthens the link with the communities where it has a presence, such as the regions of O'higgins, Maule and Biobio, and its commitment to extend its help to all of Chile.
