In mid-March, Solfrut obtained LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) environmental certification, marking a significant milestone in its sustainability strategy. This process is part of a new ecological standard linked to the GlobalGAP protocol, which raises the bar for responsible agricultural production.
The certification was awarded following a three-day audit, during which both on-site conditions and key technical aspects were evaluated. In this context, practices such as efficient water management and the implementation of biodiversity-focused initiatives stood out, including the creation of biological corridors and the installation of bird shelters, thereby contributing to the strengthening of productive ecosystems.
For this assessment, the San Juan, Santa Magdalena, and Odesa orchards were selected as a representative sample, achieving 100% compliance with the certification criteria.
This milestone marks the beginning of a more stringent environmental standard for Solfrut, which the company plans to implement gradually across all its properties, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable agriculture in line with international best practices.
